Mitch Coats (pictured on the right with Professor Paiva) recently returned from Brazil where he spent a year training and competing as a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Mitch is a member of the Alliance Jiu Jitsu Association, located in Rio De Janerio. His instructor is the world recognized Alexandre Paiva, a multiple winner of the Jiu Jitsu World Championships.

He is Professor Paiva 's only affiliate school in the United States. Mitch has won titles at the 7th & 9th annual Grapplers Quest West Coast Championships, 2nd annual Pacific Northwest BJJ Championships, 2007 Grapplers Quest U.S. Nationals, and the Ultimate Submission Experience.

He is also undefeated in Mixed Martial Arts competitions. His enthusiasm for learning and dedication to training make him a formidable opponent on the mat and a wonderful instructor.
